Duckett House Inn, a turn of the century farm house, is located in Hot Springs, North Carolina, where the Blue Ridge joins the Great Smokies. Bold Spring Creek meanders through the valley joining the French Broad River at the site of the Hot Mineral Springs, once a turn of the century health Spa catering to the wealthy tourist.
Today, Hot Springs is once again a destination for tourists seeking peace. Either hiking the Appalachian Trail, or rafting down the mighty French Broad River. Those seeking to just relax and savor the area's breathtaking scenery, can soak in the nearby Hot Mineral Springs along the banks of the French Broad River.

History
Built in 1900 as a home for Newton Jerome Lance and his wife Fanny, who owned and operated the first hydroelectric plant on Spring Creek along with an ice house on the property.
In 1919 David and Laura Duckett purchased the land and it remained in their family until 1975. The building remained abandoned until 1990 at which time I began the restoration and opened the Inn.
